SPONSORED CYCLE IN IRELAND 2022

Our Sponsored CYCLE 2022 takes place in IRELAND from 9th to the 15th April 2022.

This year our Cycle will support and promote The Irish Pilgrimage Trust as activities resume in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The past two years has been particularly difficult for children and young people with additional needs and the Trust is raising much needed funds to finance our work in serving these young people.

Everyone on CYCLE 2022 team must raise sponsorship and additionally must pay their own costs for the week. This ensures that maximum benefit is gained for the children who join our supported holidays and activities.

CYCLE 2022 takes place over 7 consecutive days cycling around Ireland and covering 800 kilometres. The Cycle will set off from our special home Kilcuan in Clarinbridge on Saturday morning 09th April 2022. Over the following seven days the Cycle will stop overnight in Limerick, Killarney, Clonmel, Portlaoise, Athlone, Sligo and finish in Galway city on Good Friday 15th April 2022. We will be holding short stops along the route and look forward to meeting many of our friends during our journey.

This is a very special and unique event, a first for The Irish Pilgrimage Trust and we hope to receive huge support for the wonderful work of our Trust Volunteers. Our Volunteers can only provide the care and wonderful holiday opportunities to the special young Guests of the Trust with the funds raised by this event.

Our first Sponsored Cycle to Lourdes took place in 1984 and quickly became an established biennial event raising much needed funds to help finance The Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
